Founders, Dan and Dina Francis, have extensive backgrounds in the areas of custom home building and remodeling.
Dan grew up in the family construction business. Having grown up in the elysianbuilt industry, transitioning in the direction of home building was a natural for him.
Dina shares the same passion for the art of home construction. Her vast designs and unique family style have made her one of the best floor-plan designers in Arizona.
To compliment Dan and Dina’s vast array of experience in the industry, expert interior designer and daughter, Dara, and accomplished project manager and son, Vincent, add a splash of creativity and a new perspective.

Four years ago, Dan Francis custom-built our home exactly the way we dreamt it would be, to perfection. My husband and had I kept a photo journal for 15 years, full of architectural designs, elements and details; pieces of style that we acquired from trips to Taos, Santa Fe and Carmel. Dan and his professional team of contractors and artisans were able to recreate and build with outstanding innovative flair, down to every detail. Dan and his family also attended to the project by providing exquisite design suggestions to extra labor for so many personal touches. We would do it all over again with this phenomenal builder!

I have worked with general remodeling contractors in Chicago, Hot Springs, AR, and now in Scottsdale. I can say without hesitation that Dan Francis is by far the best one I have ever experienced.I first met Dan Francis when I served as head of the Colonia Encantada Architectural Committee. Dan was doing a major remodeling job in our community and he and I were in frequent contact over proposals, which needed approval by the Committee. He was always professional in the way he submitted the required material for the various projects. Upon reviewing the interim work and the final remodel of the unit, I was impressed.Fast-forward to 2013, and my wife and I had made the decision to sell our Chicago condo and move full time to our townhome in Scottsdale. However, our unit had not been updated since our move in back in 1998. Serious work was needed to make it comfortable for us. Because of my previous experience with Dan, he was my choice for our work. The work included a major remodel of the kitchen, living room, powder room and extensive new wooden flooring. In net, it turned out perfectly! After collaborating with you, we meet with the architects to help turn your vision into a plan. With the guidance of our expert team at DF Custom Homes, we will work together with you to make your ideas come to fruition while staying within your budget.
Meet With The Interior Designer
The next step in the process will be to meet with our interior designer, Dara, to go over all of your interior design needs. At DF Custom Homes, we respect our customers, and monitor all costs throughout the design and planning phases, to ensure that costs stay in-line with expectations!
Building Your Home
After the plan is in place, you can sit back and relax as the building process gets under way. Our project manager, Vincent, works together with our team of experts to build the home that you envision. Using his fine attention to detail and strategic planning, Vincent oversees the building process to ensure a smooth, methodical operation from start to finish. From our family to yours, the building process is a team effort, and we dedicate ourselves to making this the most enjoyable experience possible.
